Kate Edis

MPharm 2015

Kate, who has graduated with a Masters in Pharmacy, picked up her second award in two years. Kate was awarded the Hope Winch Scholarship prize for most proficient level 3 – and last year she received the prize for the most proficient level 2 student! 29-year-old Kate’s name will now be on a plaque, permanently on display in Dale Building.

“After working so hard throughout the degree it was extra special to receive the acknowledgement,” says Kate.

“My favourite parts of the course have been having the opportunity to apply our knowledge to practical situations such as the Inter Professional Learning sessions, the simulated wards and clinical skills classes.

“I'm excited to start my pre-registration year with Boots in July and begin putting all my knowledge into practice,” she adds.

Kate has left with great memories from her time here: “I really loved the 50th SPSA Pharmacy ball earlier this year, being our final year it was really special and everyone had a brilliant time. We also got to see our parody of an Uptown Funk music video made with the fourth year students, lecturers and the university as a back drop! It was fun being part of it and hilarious watching it on a big screen with everyone!”
