“Being linked to Sunderland is particularly important to me, while now living back near my home in Liverpool, I still look out for news and issues related to Sunderland. And I am always delighted to hear about what is happening at the University and support where possible. I still have many professional friends working at the University. I was very proud to be asked to give the Hope Winch lecture in 2016”.
