LLM Legal Practice LPC at Sunderland Law School – Starting September 2016

LLM legal practice

The LLM Legal Practice LPC is a new exciting postgraduate programme. This new full Masters programme is inclusive of the Legal Practice Course; the qualification you need to become a Solicitor in England and Wales and one which is frequently required by employers for many other entry level legal positions in our region.

Approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in April 2016 this is the only LPC in the country in which you will be assessed on your skills in a live client environment, within Sunderland Student Law Clinic.

This course is designed to develop students’ skills and experience whilst learning how to be a lawyer through doing the job. Sunderland Student Law Clinic is at the heart of this new course; you will manage your own caseload, interview and advise your own clients and gain experience in how law firms work through using our fantastic case management software.

You can view a copy of the course brochure here.

For more information on the modules that are available to you, visit the LPC course page.

Fees & Funding

Course fees for 2016/17 are £9250.00. This includes all core textbooks and we will not charge you in the event you need to retake any assessments. There is a £750.00 discount available for all graduates of the University of Sunderland.

As this is a full Masters programme you should be eligible for the new £10,000 postgraduate loan provided you are under 60 and this is your first postgraduate course.
