The Mike Davies Innovation Scholarship
The University is the recipient of a generous donation to support students studying Glass or Ceramics. The purpose of the scholarship is to allow students to undertake a project or opportunity that will lead to innovative uses of glass and ceramic materials for creative use. The project will support modular content within the course of study.
Examples of this could include projects within the university, internships, classes and workshops in the UK or abroad or study visits. Alternatively, applicants could consider an innovative way to develop their practice from home perhaps with specific kit/equipment.
Two £1,000 scholarships per academic year are available to full or part-time students studying:
- Artist Designer Maker: Glass and Ceramics (Stage 2 and 3)
- MA Visual Practice (Glass and Ceramics pathways)
- PhD Glass and Ceramics
Closing deadline is Friday 17th March 2023
For further information or for an informal discussion please contact your Personal Tutor, Programme Leader or PhD Supervisor.
Projects should be completed within an agreed timescale and successful candidates will be expected to produce an illustrated report on their project and supply images for publicity purposes.
