Ugochukwu is now Network Management Professional at British Telecommunications Plc. He is in charge of designing networks that manage networks.
Asked about his biggest achievement to date, the Sunderland graduate explained: “I have managed and maintained the management network for delivering Premier League Productions.”
Ugochukwu, originally from Abia State in Nigeria, loved his time in Sunderland and was most impressed by the City itself and staff at the University.
The 33-year-old said: “I was initially attracted to the University of Sunderland as the fees were very affordable and the living costs were attractive.
“I still remember with fondness the City, the friends I made, and the facilities.
“My module leader and project supervisor, David Evans influenced me most.”
His advice to any current students is to make the most of what the University has to offer.
He said: “Your time at there can be really fun, exciting, engaging and knowledgeable.”
In the future, Ugo would like to keep learning and getting better at what he does.
He concluded: “I want to undertake a couple of courses and certification exams to handle more complex network designs and project deliverables.”
