Min Na Eii
MPharm Pharmacy 2013
Minna is currently working at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS foundation trust as a front of house admissions ward Advanced Pharmacist Practitioner.
Whilst at Sunderland, Minna served as SPSA President in 2012-13, and they hosted successful events throughout the year including the stop smoking campaign and an Oscar themed ball at Hardwick Hall where each Oscar goes to a 4th year pharmacy student of a theme. Minna and the Committee also set up the official SPSA Facebook page and blog for the pharmacy society.
Minna moved to Sunderland from Brunei Darussalam in Malaysia and lived in the Precinct Halls in her first year, then moved to private rental accommodation with her pharmacy course classmates in subsequent years. One of the people who influenced her most was her predecessor in post, Matt Crum.
She said: “Coming from a foreign country and not knowing anything about anything, he introduced me to a lot of events and gave me plenty of wisdom which later shaped my life and career.”
She added: “The degree has set me up for a fulfilling career so far in an NHS foundation trust. Especially in the pandemic, I am really pleased with my career choice. I have furthered my education by doing a prescribing and clinical pharmacy diploma course with the University of Sunderland paid for by my pharmacy department at the Trust I work for.”
