Kam Mo received his Master of Pharmacy and his Postgraduate Diploma of Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Sunderland and began his career as a community pharmacist at Boots the Chemist in the UK.  

He moved onto hospital clinical pharmacy at South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust. He later became an oncology senior pharmacist at The Dudley Group of Hospitals, NHS Foundation Trust. 

In 2011, missing his family, Kam Mo returned to Hong Kong to continue his career in his homeland, joining the Hong Kong Hospital Authority. 

Thought passionate his work, Kam Mo has recognised his need to continue his learning and professional development.  He qualified for the Six Sigma Green Belt, completed the Management 202 Programme and the Advanced Specialty Programme in Oncology for Pharmacists.  In 2015, Kam Mo was named a board-certified specialist oncology pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (US).  He served as a member of Hong Kong West Cluster Coordination Committee in Palliative Care.  Kam Mo has also been appointed as Honorary Tutor in the University of Hong Kong.  

Kam Mo’s areas of interest are clinical pharmacy oncology service on solid tumors, sarcomas, palliative care and pharmacy aseptic dispensing. He was responsible for establishing the Clinical Pharmacy Oncology Service, Oncology Pharmacist Managed Herceptin Clinic, and the Pharmacy Palliative Care Service at his hospital practice. He also assisted in the forward planning and development of pharmacy aseptic service in line with Hospital Accreditation and PIC/S Standard.  

As well as providing pharmaceutical care services for patients, Kam Mo has delivered teaching on drug uses to the International Oncology Pharmacy Congress, to scientific symposiums, healthcare professional lectures, and has delivered patient group education. He also participated in both international and local oncology practice research including the Asian Hospital Management, the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners and the Hospital Authority Convention.    

Kam Mo is also actively involved in Hong Kong Pharmacy Professional development. He is a director of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Hong Kong (SHPHK); a committee member of the Hong Kong Pharmacy Conference and a committee member of the Pharmacy Central Continuous Education Committee of Hong Kong (PCCC).  His work has been recognised by charitable organisations such as the Cancer Fund, The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation and the Regeneration Society.    

Kam Mo was awarded Alumni Achiever of the Year 2020 - Hong Kong to recognise his exceptional career success and extraordinary community involvement since he graduated from the University of Sunderland. Kam Mo received the Award on the 16th of May 2021 at the Hong Kong graduation ceremony.
