MBA International Business Environment and Global Corporate Strategy 2013

Harshal Changole has already taken his first steps on the business management ladder after graduating from the University of Sunderland in London in 2013.

He has been working since May 2017 as a Purchase and Logistics Manager and Business Coordinator at Mostafawi Establishment in their headquarters in Dubai.

Previously, Harshal worked as a Business Development Manager at Hands In Technology in Mumbai and Indo UK Theatre Arts in London.

He firmly believes that the insights and skills he developed at the University have been crucial to his success since graduating.

“For my job, there is no doubt that the University of Sunderland in London has played a vital role in helping me to hit the ground running,” he said.

Looking back on his time at the Canary Wharf campus, Harshal remembers with fondness the unique experience of being at the centre of one of the world’s busiest cities.

“I loved being at the centre of a business hub in London,” he added. “Not only was the location fantastic, but the buildings we were taught in were magnificent too.”

Harshal studied alongside people from vastly different cultures and walks of life. Being able to interact with and strike friendships with fellow students from across the world was not only a personally fulfilling experience, but hugely enlightening as well.

He continued: “I enjoyed the postgraduate life very much at the University of Sunderland in London. I was in such a superb environment with my new friends. I also got the chance to interact daily with multicultural friends from different courses and various countries, which was a fantastic experience.”

His advice to any current students is to make the most of your time at University and look for all-important job experience that can help you stand out from the crowd when looking for work.

When asked about what he would tell current students, he answered: “Enjoy your studies in such a great environment and finish your course on time.

“Moreover, try to take advantage of the University's Career and Employability facilities because job experience will play a significant role in your professional life.”

In the future, Harshal would like to return to the UK and advance his knowledge of British businesses.

He concluded: “My future plan is to work as a professional in a UK company as I completed my MBA from UK. If I get the opportunity I'd like to become an entrepreneur so I can create jobs for the coming youngsters worldwide.”
