The William Beadnell Scholarship Award

The University is the recipient of a generous donation from the William Beadnell Foundation to support students within the discipine of engineering.

The donation is made in the name of the late William 'Bill' Beadnell, motor-racing enthusiast, entrepreneur, philanthropist and long term supporter of the University. Bill, a former mechanical engineering student at the then Sunderland Technical College was deeply proud of his links to the University and supported the impact it has on the region and its students.

The Beadnell Foundation supports an annual scholarship award in Bill's name, read more about this exciting opportunity here.
