Sarah Lane, 24, graduated earlier this year from BSc Adult Nursing. She now works as a Registered Nurse at Spire Thames Valley Hospital in Maidenhead. She says: “When I heard about the opportunity I thought of how much help £1,000 would be to me.
“It was very easy to apply. I filled it out on my phone and a lot of it was automatically filled in for me which made it so much easier. All I needed to remember was my student number.
“Thanks to the grant I was able to pay my mum back money she loaned to me to help pay for my car. She was just as excited as I was when I won the grant!”
