Chinese students constitute one of the largest international groups studying at the University. There are more than 3700 alumni registered as living there. The University manages an office in Beijing and Shenzen which focused on recruiting students to programmes. The team also help support alumni activities and engagement with the University. You can keep in touch by ensuring your details are updated via the Alumni Association website.
The University has strong alumni connections in Beijing, Shanghai and in particular Guangxi. As part of the City Wide Initiative with Sunderland City Council, the University works with Harbin University on research on forensic computing, robotics and artificial intelligence and Sunderland continues to develop strong links to the city of Harbin through a friendship agreement signed in 2009.
